I forget who it was but I remember one time DOT was givin some grief to a driver because their plackard was not perfectly vertical and tilted slightly to one side.  The drivers response was "It was straight up and down when I put it on, I must have been parked on a hill."

I wish plackarding was my only problem....I'm in the process of renewing my hazmat for my CDL...#@%*&?!!! (sorry about my langauge) first you have to go on line at hazprints.com then only to get all the way done and it wont take what you've done, but if you look at the very bottom in the smallest print is a number 877-429-7746.thats the TSA you should call it it takes you thru all the bells and whisles.  Lets see I first have to get on the pig that will take me to the bird to fly to the dogs place to pet the cat to talk to the fish that o.k you see where I'm going with that one. So when I finally got to talk to someone (one day later) they told me I now have to find a place to get my fingerprints, and guess what? they told me to go back on website..AAAHHHHH!!!! then I can go take my hazmat test and renew my lic.
My question is..Yea I know there is a question after all. every time I renew my hazmat do I have to do this fingerprinting thing every time?Huh?  does anybody know???
thanks for listening  I feel better now.

From what I hear if you had to be printed for it, you have to be re-printed anytime you renew.  This goes for anything that would require you to be printed.  Guess the government is worried about us changing our fingerprints, not sure how that is done other than burning them off but it apperantly is a concern.  Roll Eyes

the only thing that I got on line was the DOT number and the hazmat registration. I also applied for the hazmat safety permit on line. As far as renewing the license I have not had to do that but the first time was quite the experience. First it was the arguing with motor vehicles about the license that I needed. Then it was take the hazmat test, then pay the one hundred and something dollars to go to the state police to get photographed and finger printed. All this so that the TSA who have been clearing me for the last 20 years for aviation could OK all that nonsense. Everybody has their hand out and it never stops.
